Bees Grove 2000 Rams

Introduction and Aims

The Bees Grove flock of pedigree Vendeens is situated in a L.F.A of west Wales. Our foundation ewes were purchased from Charles and Ivan Vawdrey, owners of the famous Lee Hall Vendeens. Ivan and Charles were amongst the first to import the Vendeen breed into the U.K, and hence create arguably the best known flock in the country.

Our aim with the Bees Grove flock is to retain the quality, size and conformation that we have inherited from the Lee Hall lines, with an awareness of the pressure of the current sheep marketing situation in regard to future issues on scrapie and growth indexing via Signet. However, other equally important matters have to be kept in consideration; correct conformation, good feet, skins, trouble free lambing etc. These are all of high significance in our view, and enables us to keep sight of our commitment to produce top quality terminal sires, at reasonable prices, to both the commercial farmer and pedigree breeder.
